Web Copy

I have generated effective web copy for a broad range of companies and businesses. My clients have included everything from top end IT and commerce sites, through to small independent businesses.

I always ensure that I have a comprehensive understanding of the purpose of the copy, and the client's 'voice' before I begin writing, and I always continue drafting until clients are completely happy. A significant proportion of my web copy is currently undertaken through Elance, where I have been awarded "Premier Provider" status in recognition of the quality of my work, and have a 100% customer satisfaction rating.

Magazine Journalism

I contribute to, and sub edit news stand magazines in the UK.

The skills that I have accrued through my studies with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) have ensured an excellent theoretical grounding for writing articles and features and for effectively editing content ready for print. My work is held in high regard within the spheres that I am currently employed, and I enjoy the dynamism of working within magazine journalism where deadlines and word limits are always set in stone!

Press Releases and Articles

I have composed Press Releases for companies operating within a range of sectors. These have - without exception - had excellent results and have ensured that the company, or event, has gained effective media recognition. I also undertake Press Release writing as a means of improving Search Engine Visibility, where I am happy to offer a submission service to clients.

I have composed engaging articles on a vast array of topics, and also have several clients that I write articles and blogs for on an ongoing basis. I am adept at researching and capturing the voice of a client, and ensuring that my articles are pitched effectively at their audience. I am happy to negotiate a per month or per week article quota, and to upload articles onto a client's CMS as required.

 

My writing

I periodically have the opportunity to detail my own travelling exploits, and to write destination guides. I would - of course - like to have a whole lot more time to commit to this aspect of my writing but, well, someone's got to pay the mortgage!
